Transitioning from EBSS: Success Stories and What to Expect
Every student’s journey is different, but the goal of Enhanced Behavior Support Services (EBSS) remains the same: to help students make progress and prepare for their next successful step.
What a Transition Can Look Like
Some students return to their home district, others move on to out of district placements such as BOCES or residential placements. No matter the path, our team collaborates with families and schools to ensure a smooth transition.
Success Through Structure and Support
One student entered EBSS struggling with daily classroom disruptions and frequent elopement. After a few months of structured intervention, parent training, and related therapies, the student successfully transitioned to a less restrictive environment and began participating in general education activities.
We Support Every Step
- We work with families and districts to provide transition plans, recommendations, and support throughout the process. Our team can help coordinate meetings, facilitate observations at our centers, and even join visits to new placements. Transition marks a fresh chapter and with the right support, your child can be filled with confidence and hope.
- At Family of Kidz, we understand that every child and adolescent learns and grows in their own way. That’s why we offer personalized support designed to meet your child’s unique needs and goals. We’re here every step of the way.
